About the Role
A growing independent pharmacy group in the Macedon Ranges is looking for a Community Pharmacist to join their team. The group runs 3 pharmacies, with this role based mainly at the second store. This is a non-PBS pharmacy with a strong local customer base and an owner who's actively expanding the business.
You'll be working mostly solo as Pharmacist-in-Charge, covering closing shifts and weekend rosters. Weekday shifts usually have a second pharmacist and support staff on the floor, so you won't be flying solo every day, but you do need to be confident running the pharmacy independently when it's your shift.
What You'll Be Doing
- Dispensing and checking prescriptions
- Patient counselling and S2/S3 recommendations
- Managing dispensary workflow and handling clinical queries
- Administering vaccinations if accredited
- UTI consultations if trained
- Supporting Webster packs and DAAs, including aged care patients
- Non-sterile compounding (full training provided, not required from day one, no sterile compounding involved)
Hours
- Evening closes to 7pm, 2-3 nights per week
- Weekend roster shared: Saturday 9am-2pm, Sunday 10am-1pm

Any experience level will be considered. The owner cares more about attitude, reliability, and availability than years in the industry. Well regarded but not essential: vaccination accreditation, UTI consultations, Webster/DAA experience, aged care background, methadone/ORT experience, medicinal cannabis knowledge, non-sterile compounding, or prior PIC/management experience.
Why This Role
Good techs in the dispensary, solid front-of-house team already in place, and real room to grow. This isn't a role where they just need a body on the roster tomorrow, the owner is looking for someone who wants to grow with the business long term, potentially moving into a senior pharmacist, PIC, or manager position over time. Software is Z Dispense, prior experience preferred but training provided.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
