Workforce Australia - Post Placement Support Consultants (Penrith Head Office)
Global Skills is a long standing and successful Employment Services Provider delivering Workforce Australia (WFA), Inclusive Employment Australia, Transition to Work and Career Transition Assistance across the Sydney and NSW Central Coast Regions.
We are currently looking for 3 WFA Post Placement Support Consultants to join our centralised team based at our Penrith Head Office.
About the role
While based at Penrith, successful candidates will be responsible for delivering quality Post Placement Support across our regions. The role will involve regular contact with both Participants and Employers, including workplace visits as required using our pool car.
Ideal candidates will be compassionate, organised and outcomes-focused who are able to assist people who have recently re-entered the workforce after unemployment. You will provide practical, tailored support to help participants settle into their roles, overcome early workplace challenges and maintain sustainable employment.
You will build trusted relationships with participants and employers, identify job retention risks early, coordinate appropriate assistance and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular, supportive check-ins with participants during their transition into employment.
- Develop practical support strategies based on each participant’s circumstances, goals and workplace needs.
- Identify barriers that may affect job retention and coordinate timely assistance or referrals.
- Liaise professionally with employers to support positive workplace relationships, resolve concerns and promote sustainable outcomes.
- Provide coaching on workplace expectations, communication, confidence, routines and problem-solving.
- Connect participants with relevant services, training or workplace support where appropriate.
- Monitor employment progress, hours and milestones, and follow up promptly when circumstances change.
- Maintain accurate, timely file notes and documentation in line with documentary evidence requirements.
- Work collaboratively with employment consultants in addressing retention risks where required.
- Build sustainable long-term relationships with employers to generate future employment opportunities for other participants.
- Satisfy performance benchmarks as required.
- Ensure compliance with National Standards for Disability Services, QAF and ISO 27001:2022/RFFR accreditations and all other Deed and guideline requirements.
- Comply with all WHS, Information Security, Privacy and all other policy requirements.
Selection Criteria

Experience in disability, employment services, recruitment, case management, community services, rehabilitation or a related field and/or an ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Have a full unrestricted driver’s licence, good driving record and be willing to travel as required
- Possess exceptional communication skills and a passion for helping others and making a difference
- Strong relationship-building, coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to recognise barriers to employment and develop practical, person-centred solutions.
- Share our commitment to providing the highest standard of customer service and collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated confidence in attending workplaces, working with employers and advocating appropriately for participants.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, professional boundaries and commitment to confidentiality.
- Have an understanding of the local labour market, career and training opportunities
- Desirable - hold qualifications in Employment, Community or Disability services or a related/higher level qualification
- Excellent IT literacy, organisation, follow-up and record-keeping skills.
- Have experience working to deadlines and/or KPIs
- Be willing to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check and other checks as deemed necessary
