Achieve Something Great
As a Cardiac Technologist (Grade , you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality cardiac diagnostic and procedural support within a dynamic and collaborative cardiology service. This position offers the chance to work across a broad spectrum of non‑invasive cardiac diagnostics and invasive cardiology procedures, contributing directly to patient assessment, treatment, and ongoing care.

You will be involved in the full suite of core cardiac investigations, including 12‑lead ECG acquisition, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing, and pacemaker and implanted defibrillator interrogation. The role also provides hands‑on exposure to procedural environments such as device implantations, the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, and—at Grade 2 level—Electrophysiology studies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technologist seeking to broaden their clinical skill set within a supportive team that values professional growth, technical excellence, and patient‑centred care.

Please note: This position does not include cardiac sonography as part of its scope.

An ideal candidate is a motivated and technically capable cardiac technologist who delivers high‑quality patient‑centred care across non‑invasive and invasive cardiac procedures, contributes to research and education, maintains exceptional data accuracy, and thrives in a collaborative, safety‑focused clinical environment.

Cardiac diagnostics expertise — Proficient in ECGs, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing, and cardiac device interrogation.
Invasive procedure support — Capable of assisting in cardiac catheterisation, device implantations, and (at Grade electrophysiology studies.
Clinical accuracy and data integrity — Demonstrates meticulous data entry and reporting across eMR and cardiology systems.
Education, teamwork and initiative — Works well independently and in teams, contributes to staff training, and applies strong problem‑solving skills.
Professional development commitment — Engaged in ongoing training, quality programs, and willing to undertake CEPIA studies and on‑call duties.

Selection Criteria

Bachelors’ degree in a relevant science or health related field.
Ability to work and participate on the Cardiac Cath Lab 24 hour ‘on call’ roster
Demonstrated ability to recognise and document abnormal ECG waveforms
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to support a harmonious work environment.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P. Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
