Staff Specialist Remuneration: $270,247 to $333,491 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience
VMO Remuneration: As per current applicable NSW Health VMO Remuneration rates

What you'll be doing
Providing contemporary comprehensive Specialist Psychiatry services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care. Positions include the specialties of:
- Adult Inpatient
- Adult Community
- Consultation Liaison
- Older Persons
- Child and Adolescent.
Providing clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

The Northern NSW Local Health District extends from Tweed Heads in the north, to Tabulam and Urbenville in the west, and to Nymboida and Grafton in the south. We provide acute healthcare services in eight hospitals, and four Multi-Purpose Services (MPS). Our hospitals are located at: Ballina, Byron, Casino, Grafton, Lismore, Maclean, Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads. Our MPS facilities are located at: Bonalbo, Kyogle, Nimbin, Urbenville.

Essential Criteria
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways
- Sophisticated working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act (or similar) and demonstrated experience of its application in mental health practice
- Demonstrated experience at an executive/senior level providing leadership and effective people management of the medical workforce in a complex and evolving health care environment
- Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, consultation and interpersonal skills reflective of the NSW Health CORE values, with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability and experience in clinical service planning, research and quality improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advance the strategic and operational objectives of the service
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
