Salary: Level A: $87,266 - $118,416 p.a. plus 17% super

Part-time research role at the Victorian IMOS Node blend ing stakeholder engagement with coastal fieldwork and contribut ing to impactful marine observing systems

Your next career opportunity
You will support the Victorian IMOS Node, turning coastal and marine observations into meaningful insights. You will blend data management, fieldwork and stakeholder engagement, developing broad skills in marine monitoring. This part-time role suits an emerging scientist seeking impact, flexibility and strong collaborative networks.

What you will deliver:

Support operation of the Victorian IMOS Node, including website content, databases and regular communications.

Coordinate Node administration, meetings and reporting, ensuring obligations and collaborative activities run smoothly.

Undertake marine and coastal field visits, sediment sampling and laboratory analysis with appropriate compliance management.

Participate in training, professional development and University compliance activities supporting safe, ethical research practice.

You may be a great fit if you :

Hold a BSc/BA (Hons) or Masters in coastal, marine science or a closely related discipline.

Exhibit research aptitude with a strong academic record and capacity to manage data or laboratory workflows.

Engage confidently with industry, government and community stakeholders to build collaborative marine and coastal partnerships.

Communicate clearly in English, manage competing deadlines and contribute positively within multi-disciplinary research teams.

Possess eligibility for an Employee Working with Children Check.
