Senior Trade Overseer - Facilities Maintenance – Electrical

Employment Type – Ongoing, Full Time
Salary - $105,046 pa + Incidental Allowance + Superannuation + Leave Loading
What you’ll do
As part of this role, you will be required to provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to Overseers while supervising and supporting inmates through effective management, coaching, instruction and engagement to build capability and develop practical work skills.
You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and productive team environment that enhances post-release employment opportunities and supports the achievement of Business Unit outcomes. Plan, coordinate and oversee daily operations to optimise productivity, efficiency and commercial performance, while ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety standards, Quality Management requirements and the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service.
The role is responsible for delivering the following outcomes, including but not limited to:
Lead and manage work teams through performance development, coaching and feedback to achieve organisational objectives.
Supervise, train and mentor inmates in a structured workplace environment to develop practical skills and support work readiness and case management outcomes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with CSNSW and CSI policies, procedures and probity requirements.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver operational outcomes and maintain productivity.
Promote and maintain a safe and compliant workplace in accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors.
The Successful candidates are provided with paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Corrective Services Academy training facility.
What we’re looking for
Current Certificate III or higher in Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in Electrical
Hold relevant Fair Trading Electrical Licence/ Certificate
Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
Be part of an on-call rotation afterhours roster
