Full Job Description

Krueger Transport Equipment is looking for experienced Boilermakers to join our manufacturing team in Truganina, Victoria. You'll work hands-on with heavy steel, fabricating and building components that form part of our locally manufactured trailers and transport equipment.

If you enjoy fabrication work, can confidently work from engineering drawings and take pride in producing quality work, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role

Fabricating and assembling heavy steel components and structures.
Reading and working from engineering drawings, measurements and specifications.
Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping and fitting materials prior to assembly.
Carrying out MIG welding as part of the fabrication process.
Using grinders, cutting equipment, hand tools and workshop machinery.
Checking dimensions, alignment and completed work against specifications.
Identifying and rectifying fabrication or fit-up issues where required.
Producing work to Krueger's quality and production standards.
Working safely and contributing to an efficient workshop environment.

What We're Looking For

A relevant Boilermaker / Engineering – Fabrication Trade qualification, or equivalent.
Previous experience in boilermaking, structural steel or heavy fabrication.
Strong fabrication, fitting and MIG welding skills.
Confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Experience working with heavy steel and fabricating components to specification.
Good measurement and practical problem-solving skills.
A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.

Experience in trailer manufacturing, heavy vehicles, transport equipment or a similar heavy engineering environment will be highly regarded.
