From the moment our guests arrive until the moment they depart, you’ll play an important role in creating exceptional, personalised and memorable luxury experiences.
As a Porter, you’ll be one of the first and last points of contact for our guests, delivering warm, genuine and personalised service throughout their stay. With your confident and outgoing personality, you’ll connect with guests, share your insider knowledge of everything Hayman Island has to offer, and ensure every guest feels welcomed and at home in their island retreat.
Your attention to detail, local knowledge and passion for hospitality will help create the effortless service experience our guests expect.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Welcome and farewell guests with genuine warmth and personalised service, assist with their luggage, ensuring a smooth and seamless arrival experience.

Collect, handle and safely transport guest luggage from arrival points to their rooms, taking care to treat all belongings with respect and attention.

Coordinate luggage movements and guest transfers across the resort as required.

Assist with luggage during guest departures, ensuring belongings are collected, transported and loaded safely and efficiently.

Respond confidently and professionally to a variety of guest requests.

Anticipate guest needs and look for opportunities to exceed expectations.

Maintain a high standard of presentation and cleanliness across all guest vehicles, ensuring they are regularly cleaned and presented in line with our luxury standards.

Support the wider Front Office and resort teams when required.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival through to departure.

Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings as required.
Base rate $27.48 + loading + penalties

To be successful in this part-time role, you’ll have:

Valid Australian driver’s licence.
-
Physically fit and able to lift luggage and assist guests with items as required
-
A charismatic, warm and naturally charming personality with the ability to build genuine connections with guests.

Previous experience in Front Office environments.
-
Ideally 1 year experience in a Bell Attendant, Guest Service, or similar hospitality role.

Strong communication skills.
-
A strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to guest service.

Holds appropriate work rights to work in Australia
