At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Worker Level 3 Senior Clinician to join our Domestic & Family Violence Support Service (DFVSS).
This is a specialist role providing trauma-informed support to people experiencing domestic and family violence, while also building the capability of health services to respond safely and effectively.
The Domestic & Family Violence Support Service provides specialist social work support to clients experiencing domestic and family violence through referrals from Emergency Departments and Domestic Violence Routine Screening services.
As a Senior Clinician, you will deliver responsive, client-centred care focused on safety, wellbeing and recovery, while also providing specialist consultation and education to health professionals.
In this role, you will:
- Provide specialist assessment, risk assessment, safety planning and brief therapeutic support to clients experiencing domestic and family violence.
- Facilitate referrals and coordinated care pathways across health, legal, community and support services.
- Deliver specialist consultation and advice to health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and deliver education activities that strengthen workforce capability in responding to domestic and family violence.
- Work collaboratively with health and partner agencies to support coordinated and effective responses.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives within Violence, Abuse and Neglect services.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence.
- Advanced assessment, risk management and safety planning skills.
- Strong communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proven ability to work autonomously across hospital, community and outreach settings.
- A commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred and culturally responsive practice.
