Full Job Description

We are an established engineering firm seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Casual Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial administration and support our team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices, issue client billings, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
Payroll & Superannuation: Process weekly/fortnightly payroll, calculate entitlements, and manage superannuation payments.
Financial Reporting: Generate basic profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for management.
Software Management: Maintain accurate digital records using accounting software (e.g.Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks)

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial administration role.
Strong proficiency in modern cloud accounting software (Xero / MYOB) and Excel.
Sound knowledge of Australian payroll, GST, BAS, and superannuation requirements.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport to commute to the Figtree office

Job Details

Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time(Opportunity to transition to a permanent role in the future)
Hours: Approx. 35-40 hours per week (flexible days/hours)
Location: On-site (Figtree office)

Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
