About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available to join our ANZ Agribusiness team in Central Queensland. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic professional to step into an Assistant Manager role, based in either Rockhampton or Emerald.
This role is well suited to an experienced or emerging people leader with strong relationship‑building skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for developing leadership capability while supporting a diverse agribusiness customer base across the region.
Based in Rockhampton or Emerald, the position offers exposure to a broad Central Queensland portfolio and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced, engaged team committed to delivering strong customer and business outcomes aligned to our growth strategy.
The successful candidate will be supported by a close‑knit, collaborative team, strong local partnerships, and access to experienced colleagues and specialists, all working together to build capability, strengthen our brand, and deliver for our customers and communities.

Work Hours: 40 Hours/Fulltime

What will your day look like?

As an Assistant Manager, you will also have the opportunity to:

Proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of our customer’s business and financial needs
Act in the best interest of the customer and
Provide appropriate solutions towards account maintenance and customer needs
Maintain a well-managed portfolio, compliant with all relevant policies and procedures
Maintain control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfilment processes
Collaborate with product partners and other stakeholders to fulfill customer needs

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Ability to help manage strong customer relationships by handling service queries and solving minor issues

Strong communication skills to assist customers effectively
Attention to detail when reviewing agreements and contracts
Ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations, considering both qualitative and quantitative factors
Strong financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen
Ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends
Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep track of customer documentation, banking transactions, and internal communications
Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, risk management concepts, particularly in credit and market risk
