Job Description

Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as the Regional Market Development Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) for the Genetic Sciences Division.
This role is responsible for driving the strategic growth of the Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and Human Identification (HID) portfolio across APJ, delivering Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives through portfolio management, go-to-market strategy, portfolio positioning, omnichannel demand generation, and commercial enablement.

The Regional Market Development Manager partners closely with Global Market Development to translate global strategies into regionally relevant growth initiatives, develops integrated regional marketing strategies, and works with territory and country marketing teams to provide strategic direction and drive effective local execution. The role also collaborates with commercial leadership to accelerate customer adoption, strengthen market presence, expand market share, and deliver sustainable revenue growth across the region.

What Will You Do?

1. Regional Campaign Management & Market Development

Lead the execution of regional marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with global strategies while driving measurable customer engagement and business impact.
Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies tailored to CE and HID, leveraging market trends, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
Work closely with global and regional product market development teams to develop messaging and creative content with compelling value propositions.
Plan and execute the New Product Introductions (NPIs), positioning actions, product rollovers and lifecycle management strategies.
Identify, engage, and maintain Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and customer advocates to drive content development and regional adoption.
Maintain campaign performance dashboards to evaluate marketing effectiveness and optimize future initiatives.
Stay informed on trends and competitive dynamics in customer segments and applications relevant to CE and HID.
Collaborate with Product Management and Global Market Development to develop and deliver sales enablement tools for commercial teams.

2. Metrics & Performance Indicators

Marketing revenue contribution and funnel generation tracking.
Campaign effectiveness: on-time and on-strategy execution.
Customer engagement metrics, including retention, acquisition, and satisfaction.
Digital demand generation:
Market share growth within CE and HID business
KOL engagement and support impact.

3. Key Stakeholders & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Sales & Commercial Leaders – Align on market priorities and growth strategies.
Territory/Regional Marketing Teams – Ensure localized execution of campaigns.
Digital Marketing – Leverage digital platforms for demand generation and customer engagement.
Global Business Unit & Market Development – Ensure APJ alignment with global strategy.
Product Management – Support market insights, pricing strategies, and training programs.
Service & Support Teams – Optimize customer experience and retention efforts.

How Will You Get Here?

Education & Experience:

7-10 years of experience in life sciences, molecular biology, analytical instrumentation, or related industries.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive business growth.
Proven experience in market/customer analysis, go-to-market strategy development, and commercial enablement.
Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical, market, and competitive data into actionable insights.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse markets and cultures.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Genomics applications, with familiarity in CE and Forensic industry
Strategic & Execution Excellence: Ability to translate business goals and market insights into actionable regional marketing initiatives and drive effective execution Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business goals into impactful regional marketing initiatives.
Collaboration & Influence: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across global, regional, country, and commercial teams, cultures, and geographies.

Travel: Approximately 10-30% within APJ.
