Summary:

As a Disability Support Worker in Colac, Victoria, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This casual position offers an opportunity to provide compassionate care and support, ensuring that clients can lead fulfilling lives within their community. Your contributions will be essential in promoting independence and dignity for those you assist.

Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities.
Encourage and support clients in participating in community activities and social events.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can access necessary services.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
Promote a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Certificate IV in Disability (Or willingness to obtain)
A genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Willingness to undergo relevant training and background checks.

Shift Requirements:

This role will require you to work mornings, evenings, weekends and overnight supports.
