About the role

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the Emergency Department and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Emergency Nursing, delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards which impact on nursing practice.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive workplace culture through role-modelling well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, engaging professionally with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors.
Demonstrated leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate health services and patient flows to achieve organisational goals including an understanding of the national emergency access target (NEAT).

Mandatory Requirements:

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
