The Role
As a Science and/or Math Teacher, you’ll teach a mix of Main Lessons and subject-specific classes across the secondary years. This immersive teaching model allows students to engage deeply with academic, scientific and practical learning.
- Main Lessons are extended teaching blocks, usually taught each morning over several weeks, allowing students and teachers to explore a particular mathematical or scientific concept in much greater depth. In Science, this may involve observation, experimentation, investigation and discussion; in Mathematics, it allows time to develop concepts carefully, explore patterns and applications, and build genuine understanding rather than simply moving quickly from one topic to the next.
- Weekly lessons and electives complement the Main Lessons by providing ongoing development of core knowledge, skills, practical work and problem-solving, while ensuring students are well prepared for the academic demands of the senior years.
Students do not participate in WACE subjects; however, the Steiner curriculum is aligned to the WA Curriculum.

What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
- Strong knowledge of your subject area, with a willingness to embrace Steiner pedagogy.
- A collaborative, open-minded approach to working with colleagues and students.
- The 1FTE role requires the ability to teach Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to Year 12.
Essential Requirements:
- Current TRBWA teacher registration.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Right to work in Australia. (Please note there is no sponsorship available).
