Roster: FIFO 2:1 (Day Shift Only)
Project Duration: 5 swings total (14 days per swing)
Combined Weld is seeking experienced Marine Maintenance Fitters for a short-term FIFO project based at the Port in Cape Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong marine maintenance experience working on commercial marine vessels.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of marine vessels, ensuring equipment is maintained safely and efficiently throughout the project.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Marine Maintenance Fitter
- Experience working on:
- Crew boats
- Near-coastal tugboats
- Transhipping platforms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills across a range of marine fleet
Essential Requirements
- Full Australian work rights
- Relevant Mechanical/Fitter Trade Qualification
- Confined Spaces (current)
- Working at Heights (current)
- Gas Test Atmospheres (current)
- High Risk Licence – LF & DG
- MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) or ability to obtain
- Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence
