Gym All-Rounder / Fitness Coach – Cert III Required

UFC GYM Macarthur

We are looking for an energetic and reliable Gym All-Rounder / Fitness Coach to join our team at UFC GYM Macarthur Square.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys coaching, working with members and contributing across all areas of a busy fitness facility. You will not spend your entire shift behind a reception desk. We need someone who is confident engaging with members, delivering classes and helping maintain a high standard throughout the gym.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging group fitness and gym-floor classes
Welcoming members and providing excellent customer service
Assisting prospective members with gym tours and membership enquiries
Following up leads and supporting membership sales
Helping new members get started and comfortable in the gym
Maintaining a clean, organised and professional training environment
Completing general reception and administrative duties
Supporting member engagement, retention activities and gym events
Assisting the wider team wherever required during the shift

Essential requirements

Minimum Certificate III in Fitness
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Confidence delivering group fitness classes
Strong communication and people skills
Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently
A proactive attitude and willingness to complete both coaching and general gym duties
Availability to work a mixture of early mornings, evenings and weekends

Highly regarded

Certificate IV in Fitness
Personal training experience
Previous gym, fitness, hospitality, retail or membership-sales experience
Experience delivering functional fitness, strength, conditioning, boxing fitness or circuit-style classes
Confidence speaking with prospective members and converting enquiries into memberships

You are friendly and approachable but also prepared to take responsibility and get things done. You notice when a member needs assistance, when the gym floor needs attention and when an opportunity exists to introduce someone to the gym.

You do not believe any reasonable task is “not your job.” You understand that delivering a great member experience includes coaching, customer service, sales, cleanliness and creating a welcoming gym environment.
