Burpengary Vet Hospital is seeking a motivated and reliable Animal Attendant on a casual basis (with possibility of ongoing hours) to join our friendly and supportive team.
As one of North Brisbane's largest general practice veterinary hospitals, no two days are the same. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is passionate about providing exceptional care for our patients.
About the role
As an Animal Attendant, you'll play an important role in supporting our veterinarians and nurses by ensuring our hospital is clean, organised and running efficiently.
Duties will include:

Cleaning and maintaining hospital wards, kennels and treatment areas

Feeding and caring for hospitalised patients

Walking dogs and providing basic patient comfort and enrichment

Laundry, cleaning and general housekeeping duties

Assisting the veterinary team with patient handling when required

Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming hospital environment

Stocking and general clinic maintenance
About you
We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine passion for animal welfare

Holds or is working towards a Certificate II or III in Animal Care (compulsory)

Is reliable, punctual and enjoys working as part of a team

Is happy to undertake a hands-on role

Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work

Communicates well and has a positive, can-do attitude

Is available to work a flexible casual roster

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care or kennel/cattery environment is advantageous, but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
