Position Summary
City Nails & Spa 154 is seeking an experienced Nail Technician to join its professional nail and beauty services team in Bundaberg Central.
The Nail Technician will provide professional manicure, pedicure and specialised nail enhancement services to clients, including acrylic, gel and SNS/dip powder nail applications, nail extensions, decorative nail art, nail repair and specialised hand and foot treatments.
The position requires strong technical nail-care skills, attention to detail, knowledge of appropriate nail products and treatments, and the ability to assess clients' requirements and provide suitable professional recommendations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Nail Technician will be responsible for:
- consulting with clients to identify their nail-care requirements, preferred styles and desired treatments;
- examining the condition of clients' nails, hands and feet and recommending suitable nail treatments and products;
- performing professional manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, filing, buffing, cuticle care and polishing;
- applying and maintaining artificial nail enhancements, including acrylic, gel, SNS/dip powder, overlays and nail extensions;
- performing nail infills, removal, repair and maintenance of artificial and natural nails;
- creating decorative nail art, French tips and customised nail designs according to clients' preferences;
- providing specialised hand and foot treatments and spa manicure and pedicure services;
- applying nail polish, gel polish and other professional nail products using appropriate techniques;
- advising clients on appropriate aftercare, nail maintenance and suitable nail-care products;
- assessing the effectiveness and suitability of nail treatments and products and recommending alternatives where appropriate;
- maintaining client treatment records and assisting with bookings and appointments as required;
- cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising nail instruments, equipment and workstations in accordance with salon hygiene and infection-control procedures;
- ensuring nail products, chemicals and equipment are stored and used safely and appropriately;
- monitoring nail-product and consumable stock and advising management when supplies need to be replenished;
- maintaining a clean, hygienic and professional treatment area; and
- providing consistently high-quality customer service and contributing to the professional operation and reputation of the salon.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- a relevant AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification in beauty/nail services or equivalent, or 2 years of relevant experience
- demonstrated professional experience performing manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, gel nails, SNS/dip powder and nail extensions;
- demonstrated skills in nail art, nail shaping, nail repair and nail enhancement techniques;
- sound knowledge of salon hygiene, sanitation and safe handling of nail products and equipment;
- strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality nail finishes;
- good customer service and communication skills; and
- ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the salon team.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
