Construction Trades - Underground Services

Regional Queensland | FIFO | Long-Term Ongoing Work

2 weeks on / 1 week off roster | Flights, meals & accommodation included | All-inclusive hourly rate

Are you an experienced underground construction operator, or looking to further develop your expertise, looking for stable, long-term work with a great roster and all the trimmings taken care of? This is your chance to join a well-established Fill & Services team on a major underground mining operation in regional Queensland.

What's on offer

2:1 roster – 2 weeks on, 1 week off
12-hour shifts
All-inclusive hourly rate
Flights, meals and accommodation all covered – just show up and work
Work with a supportive crew on a site with strong safety culture and modern equipment

The Role

You'll play a critical role in supporting underground operations — from bulkhead construction and ventilation installation to paste reticulation, stop logs, and concrete works. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in getting the job done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Day to day you'll be:

Installing concrete slabs, pads and other civil works
Carrying out handheld drilling and service pin installation
Installing temporary and permanent stop logs and all types of bulkheads
Installing ventilation fans and maintaining paste reticulation systems
Conducting pre-start checks and reporting on tools and equipment
Working closely with your supervisor and the broader Fill & Services team
Keeping safety front and centre in everything you do

What You'll Need

Light Vehicle tickets and a current Australian Driver's Licence (must have)
Current First Aid, CPR and Fire training (must have)
Desirable: Working at heights certification
Desirable: Trade certification (plumbing, carpentry, boilermaking, building, concreting)

You'll also need to be a strong communicator, a good problem-solver, and someone who's comfortable making sound decisions within your own authority when working unsupervised.

All successful candidates must pass:

A pre-employment medical
A drug and alcohol screening
