Drive the operational execution of risk and compliance management within the Growth Ops division
The role
The Senior Risk Support Analyst supports the operational execution of risk and compliance management within the division. The role actively assists in guiding the robust implementation of the organisation's risk framework by assisting in the proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of operational risks.
This role will support the Risk Support Managers’ and Senior Manager Risk Support’s efforts to lead and foster a strong risk culture, ensuring adherence to obligations and facilitating effective risk education. Through expert guidance and partnership with divisional stakeholders, this position aims to enhance risk ownership and capability, directly contributing to the division's resilience and objectives.
Position Accountabilities
- Drive the effective embedment and operationalisation of the 3LoD model within Growth Ops.

Oversee the maintenance of core risk management artefacts, ensuring they are current, accurate, and accessible.

Influence the practical application of RAS principles in divisional decision-making.

Lead divisional risk and issue reporting to key forums, including KRI data management, action monitoring, insight sourcing, and ensuring data integrity within risk systems (e.g. Archer/nLighten) for comprehensive executive reporting.

Drive the effective capture, resolution, and tracking of divisional issues, complex and systemic issues, and internal audit actions, ensuring timely closure.

Foster a strong risk management culture, enhancing risk ownership and capability across the division.

Contribute to the development and delivery of risk education materials and training for Line 1a staff.

Contribute to the division’s third party risk management framework, including involvement in contributing to risk assessments, and ongoing supplier health monitoring.

Assist in guiding the mapping of regulatory and internal obligations against divisional process and controls, including conducting gap analyses for new or changed obligations and contributing to continuous compliance monitoring.

Review risk assessments, control designs, process maps, and Line 1 self-assessments, ensuring alignment with Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) principles.

Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) updates and testing activities.

Assist the Risk Support Managers with the broader Line 1B (risk) roles and responsibilities as required/directed.

Take all reasonable directions from leaders to comply with the organisation’s workplace health & safety (WHS) protocols. WHS is everyone’s responsibility.

Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably directed by your leadership team.
What experience you’ll bring
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- At least 2 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit role, with a proven track record in a complex, regulated environment, preferably within financial services.

Experience in operational risk management frameworks, incident management, root cause analysis, and control design.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into practical business solutions for the division.

Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management.

Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organisation within the division.

Advanced proficiency in risk management systems (e.g., Archer) and data analysis tools.
Desirable:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree and/or industry qualifications.

Demonstrated ability to promote cultural change and foster a proactive, risk-aware environment at a divisional level.

Proven ability to drive initiatives independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
Location: Brisbane (Toowong) or Sunshine Coast (Kawana)
This role is available at our Toowong and Kawana locations, providing flexibility to choose the office that suits you.
Our Toowong office is close to the city, with easy public transport and parking options, while our Kawana office is on the edge of Lake Kawana and only a five-minute drive to the closest beach.
