Full Job Description

Downer is seeking a highly organised and proactive Bitumen Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day bitumen transport operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and exceptional service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.

Based out of Qantas Drive Brisbane, you’ll play a key role as the central point of contact, working closely with production teams, subcontractors, and customers to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule and allocate transport resources to meet operational and customer requirements.
Coordinate bookings, orders, and delivery schedules.
Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure seamless service.
Monitor fleet utilisation and drive efficiency and cost-effective planning.
Maintain accurate records and simple reporting (including spreadsheets).
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and safety standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Previous experience in logistics, transport scheduling, or a similar role (preferred).
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Intermediate computer skills, including Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions quickly.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
A strong customer focus and commitment to quality outcomes.
