Leading Hand Diesel Mechanic

Bundaberg | Full-Time Role | Year-Round Macadamia Farming

Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for a leadership opportunity, variety, and long-term stability in a growing industry? Macadamia Farm Management is seeking a Leading Hand Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team supporting one of Australia’s leading macadamia farming operations near Bundaberg.

This is a full-time role based just 15 minutes from Bundaberg — perfect for a hands-on mechanic ready to take the next step in their career.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery used across our macadamia orchards, either in the workshop or out on farm.

Key responsibilities include:

Servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on tractors, trucks, farm machinery, and small engines
Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs
Preventative maintenance programs
Breakdown response and field service work across farms
Ensuring machinery is safe, compliant, and operational during peak harvest periods
Guiding and supporting other team members on technical tasks

About You

Trade‑qualified Diesel Mechanic
Strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in your workmanship
Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently
Commitment to safe work practices
Able to work collaboratively across multiple farm sites
Current driver’s licence
Experience in agriculture, heavy machinery, or outdoor environments is highly regarded
