Undertake Geospatial Processing to support the core business activities of Geoimage with a primary focus on Satellite Image Processing, and creating derivative products and services that add value to Geoimage and its client base.
Key Accountabilities: Accountability for performance in the following areas –
Data Processing – Processing of data to meet or exceed client specifications, using designated hardware and software to produce high-quality products within specified timeframes. Maintenance and development of computer scripts that support processing workflows.
Team Engagement – Support of team members through constructive feedback. Providing direct assistance on projects when required to ensure the success of the whole team in meeting its objectives.
Client Management – Provide technical expertise and advice to clients and internal stakeholders as required.
Continuous Improvement – commitment to keeping abreast of new technology and software in relation to geospatial data processing and contributing to R&D as required.
Activities:
Process satellite data in accordance with the methods developed by Geoimage. Undertake analysis of satellite data and ancillary data on projects under the direction of specialist team members.
Train new and existing staff in processing techniques where applicable.
Provide advice and knowledge to key stakeholders including management, sales team and clients.
Maintain the scripts used by the Satellite Services Team for processing workflows.
Develop new scripts when required in consultation with the Satellite Services Manager, Project Manager – Satellite Services and the Technology Solutions Manager.
Assist technical marketing campaigns and promotions through the provision of sample data suitable for marketing.
Maintain and improve Geoimage image processing procedures. Update existing documentation of processes as required on the company’s wiki and create new documentation where relevant.
Attend industry, academic, government events/webinars with the aim of building relationships with potential and existing vendors, clients and collaborators and to advance your own personal technical development and that of Geoimage.
