Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Occupational Therapist (Grade 1) to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing.
The Grade 1 Occupational Therapist provides high‑quality, client‑centred occupational therapy services to patients and clients of Latrobe Regional Health and contracted services. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the role delivers evidence‑based assessment and intervention to support optimal health, wellbeing and functional outcomes.
This position contributes to safe and effective service delivery while participating in quality improvement, professional development, student support and multidisciplinary collaboration within a supportive allied health environment.

The role of the Occupational Therapist (Grade 1) is to:
- Deliver high‑quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention services as part of a client‑centred, interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Collaborate with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to support coordinated care and achievement of therapeutic goals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, activity records and patient information in accordance with departmental and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, policy development and service enhancement activities aligned with NSQHS standards.
- Utilise resources effectively, including appropriate delegation and support of Allied Health Assistants and students.
- Participate in supervision, professional development and ongoing learning activities to maintain clinical competence and contemporary practice.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent), current AHPRA registration and eligibility for membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
- Sound knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice, with the ability to apply clinical reasoning across a diverse caseload.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and time‑management skills, with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- A commitment to quality improvement, evidence‑based practice and ongoing professional development.
- The ability to engage effectively with patients from diverse age groups, backgrounds and clinical presentations.
- Membership of Occupational Therapy Australia and previous clinical experience within an acute or sub‑acute hospital setting, including experience gained through undergraduate placements (desirable).
