Position Summary
Reverence Community Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Psychologist (Contractor) to provide assessment and therapeutic intervention to children, adolescents, and adults across clinic and community settings.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with participants, families, schools, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals to deliver evidence-based psychological services that promote independence, wellbeing, emotional resilience, and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on participant goals.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Provide counselling and therapeutic support for emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns.
- Support participants experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD, ASD, intellectual disability, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Deliver interventions using evidence-based approaches such as:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Mindfulness-based interventions
- Behavioural interventions
- Psychoeducation
Community-Based Services
- Provide services within participants' homes, schools, workplaces, and community environments.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, teachers, and support workers.
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Provide functional recommendations to support participant independence.
- Promote skill development within natural environments.
Clinic-Based Services
- Deliver individual and family therapy sessions.
- Conduct psychological assessments within the clinic.
- Develop therapeutic programs tailored to participant needs.
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic clinical environment.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete clinical notes within required timeframes.
- Prepare assessment reports and progress reports.
- Maintain accurate participant records.
- Develop therapy plans aligned with participant goals.
- Ensure documentation meets NDIS requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional documentation standards.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Speech Pathologists, and other health professionals.
- Liaise with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, families, schools, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary goal planning.
- Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation where required.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Registered Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities.
Desirable
- Experience working within the NDIS.
- Experience supporting participants with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Intellectual Disability
- Anxiety
- Trauma
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Experience delivering services in community settings.
- Experience using outcome measures and evidence-based practice.
