About the role
The Manager Growth and Performance is a senior administrative /management support position that operates under the broad direction of the Dean, Graduate Research. The Manager Growth and Performance is responsible for leading strategic initiatives across the GRS portfolio. The role plays a key part in driving data-informed decision-making, overseeing the delivery of Graduate Research strategy, ensuring the GRS contributes to the maintaining of the UNE 5-star rating. The position has primary responsibility for: strategic planning; strategy implementation; governance and reporting; HDR policies and procedures; high-level HDR policy advice; programme and committee management; financial monitoring; continuous improvement including systems, processes and culture; management of internships; admissions; scholarships; and HDR course management including the development of new courses.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Management experience in higher education, demonstrated leadership capacity, and the ability to work effectively to build team cohesion.

High level planning and analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem solving, and a well-developed understanding of Research Higher Degree administration.

Proven expertise in the management of people, programs and systems preferably within the domain of Higher Degree Research.

Proven ability to drive growth and improve portfolio performance in a HDR setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability in consultation and negotiation

Willingness and open to change
About the Faculty/School/Department
The Graduate Research School facilitates and supports the University¿s HDR candidature through the provision of administrative services and support to manage, develop and promote HDR study, research training, knowledge transfer and innovation.
