What you will do
As administrative support officer, you will provide confidential administrative support to the general manager at Hopkins Correctional Centre.
You will help keep daily operations organised by managing priorities, meeting deadlines and supporting a wide range of business activities.
You will:
- provide confidential administrative support and maintain effective office systems
- coordinate the general manager's diary, meetings, appointments and travel arrangements
- prepare clear correspondence, reports and briefings after researching key issues
- manage incoming emails and documents by setting priorities and arranging follow-up actions
- support meetings by preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking minutes and welcoming visitors.
About you
You do not need formal qualifications for this role. Experience in administration, particularly supporting a senior manager or leadership team, will be an advantage.
You should also have:
- strong experience providing administrative support to senior leaders
- advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook diary management
- the ability to prioritise work, solve problems and meet competing deadlines
- excellent communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive approach.
