Our mission is to improve the lives of people with renal failure, reunite families and reduce the impact of kidney disease in our communities. We are run by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people and work to provide culturally appropriate health, aged care and general support services in regional and remote communities, helping people to get home to country and family.
About the Role
The Administration Assistant at Purple House is the first point of contact for visitors, patients, and staff, creating a warm, professional, and welcoming front desk experience. With a strong focus on front desk reception as its main priority, this role also supports a range of administrative and executive tasks to help keep the office running smoothly. This position offers the opportunity to build skills across reception and operational administration while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
Welcome visitors to the Purple House office and act as the first point of contact, providing a friendly, professional, and approachable presence at all times.
Provide general information and assistance to visitors, ensure all visitors sign in and receive appropriate access, and work closely with reception staff to support clear communication.
Follow Administration office policies and procedures and maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming front desk and common areas.
Answer phone calls and emails, and direct enquiries promptly.
Assist with scheduling meetings and appointments as directed.
Set up and pack down meeting rooms, ensuring they are stocked with appropriate supplies.
Order and manage office supplies.
Prepare and organise documents and files.
Support Purple House activities, events, and communications.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and maintain the mail register.
Support the Executive team with meetings and logistics.
Assist the Executive Assistant with director scheduling and transport.
Take meeting minutes as required.
