Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in Accounts Payable? Are you looking for a flexible, part-time role that fits around your lifestyle? We're offering an exciting job share opportunity to join our dynamic Finance team at Populous, a renowned global architectural design firm.
This role will see you working collaboratively with an existing team member to share responsibilities, with a commitment of approximately 22.5 hours per week. We are flexible in how this could work - whether you prefer full days, shorter days across the week, or another arrangement, we’re happy to discuss what suits you best.

What will you be engaged in?
As an essential member of our finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day Accounts Payable function for the Asia Pacific region and contributing to the continued success and advancement of Populous. You will work collaboratively within a job share arrangement to ensure smooth financial operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately entering invoices into the accounts processing system (VantagePoint) to ensure appropriate recording and collation.
- Partner closely with your job share counterpart to ensure seamless delivery of all responsibilities, with clear communication and consistent handovers.
- Maintaining and organising supplier records, including filing and updating relevant information.
- Thoroughly checking and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Auditing and processing credit card bills in accordance with company policies.
- Addressing and responding to vendor inquiries and requests promptly.
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies and instances of non-compliance in a timely manner.
- Assisting in general accounting tasks, including the preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss reconciliations to support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Providing support to the Financial Controller and covering during team absences as needed.
What are we looking for?
Specifically, we’re looking for someone who has:
- 1+ years’ practical experience in an operational finance role

- Exceptional attention to detail
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Australian payroll (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- A good understanding of basic accounting principles
- The ability to work independently and priorities tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication
