About the Skills & Workforce Programs directorate

Skills and Workforce Programs drives skills supply in NSW through the delivery of strategic workforce programs, with a strong focus on equity. We deliver high-quality VET in schools, including school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, and provide careers and pathways support to enhance educational journeys for all learners. About the position

This role contributes to the development of resources and professional learning aligned with Our Plan for NSW Public Education, supporting the integration of renewable energy career education across NSW public schools. The role strengthens career and transition planning by promoting emerging clean energy pathways and expanding access to industry-aligned learning opportunities. It builds the capability of educators, leadership teams, and schools to guide students into future-focused roles. This position aims to increase student engagement with energy technologies and climate solutions while promoting equitable access to careers in occupations identified as critical skills shortages under the NSW Skills Plan and the Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Strategy 2024-35.
