Full Job Description

Vascular Specialist, private surgical practice

Start September

East Fremantle location
Medical Secretary
Part time 2 days/ week (school hours), 10-12 hours and holiday relief
Waikiki clinic once a month

The Role
will involve:

Meeting & greeting patients
Booking & confirming appointments
Smooth and efficient running of clinics
Arranging Theatre bookings
Managing phones & correspondence
Administration and general office duties
Billing surgical procedures
Reconciling EFTPOS and Genie transactions
some medical typing is required

Essential Criteria
To be successful you will need to demonstrate

Exceptional communication skills and telephone manner
Excellent customer service
High attention to detail
Strong organisation, prioritisation skills and the ability to multitask
The ability to work effectively within team environments and work independently when required
An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Professional attitude, conduct and presentation
The ability to engage professionally with patients and all other stakeholders
High level of computer proficiency including (including Microsoft Office and Practice management software)
Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality in dealing with personal, patient and practice information

Desirable Criteria

You should also be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience in the Healthcare sector with a Medical Secretary, Receptionist, or Medical Administration role
Familiarity with Medical terminology
Genie software experience (an advantage but transferable skills considered)
Medicare and Health Fund billing
