The Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Services Manager to join our team at Gisborne Oaks, our residential aged care home in Gisborne, home to 75 residents.
This is a full-time, maximum-term position working standard business hours from 17 August 2026 until 30 June 2027.
In this role, you will:
- Provide excellent, resident-focused care, including the management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
- Complete resident assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation, care plans and incident records
- Oversee day-to-day clinical care activities to support the best possible outcomes for residents
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, responding to and escalating changes in their condition when required
- Spend meaningful time with residents, building connections, sharing stories and demonstrating genuine empathy
- Provide guidance and support to Personal Care Workers, Enrolled Nurses and other members of the care team
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders
- Contribute to a safe, respectful and person-centred environment
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience working as a Registered Nurse, ideally within residential aged care
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Division 1
- An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
- A strong understanding of the aged care legislative and regulatory framework, including safe medication administration
- Sound clinical judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emerging issues
- The ability to treat residents and others with empathy, dignity and respect
- A collaborative approach to working with residents, families, colleagues and other stakeholders
- A high level of accountability and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care
- A friendly, positive attitude and demonstrated resident-focused approach
