We are currently seeking caring, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide individualised support to NDIS participants based on their support plans, goals, preferences and level of independence.
Your duties may include:
- Providing assistance with daily living activities and personal care
- Supporting participants with household tasks, meal preparation and daily routines
- Assisting participants to access the community and attend appointments and activities
- Providing transport and assistance with shopping and errands
- Supporting participants to develop independence and daily living skills
- Providing support within participants' homes and Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments
- Following individual support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies where applicable
- Completing accurate progress notes and other required documentation
- Reporting incidents, hazards, changes in participant needs and concerns promptly
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, choice and confidentiality
- Following NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies and relevant workplace health and safety requirements
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, carers and other members of the support team
Essential Requirements
Successful applicants should have, or be willing to obtain where applicable:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle and appropriate vehicle insurance where participant transport is required
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- Working With Children Check where required
- Ability to complete clear and professional progress notes and incident documentation
- Good communication, reliability and time-management skills
Previous experience supporting NDIS participants is highly regarded.

Pay: $34.10 per hour
