As the Incident Change Manager, you will take ownership of the UniSQ’s ITDS incident response process, ensuring that when issues arise they are managed quickly and with minimal disruption. You will act as the primary contact and escalation point for major and critical incidents, coordinating communication and working closely with ITDS teams and stakeholders to restore services and improve response processes.
You will be an instigator for transformational change and drive continuous improvement across ITDS by:

Partnering with the Senior Manager (Service Delivery) and other ITDS leaders to ensure clear visibility, ownership and coordination of the reactive support.

Lead and enhance the change management processes, including workflow optimisation, updating documentation and supporting knowledge transfer across teams.

Strengthening incident management through effective prioritisation, early detection of IT incidents and robust incident response plans that identify risks and enable proactive mitigation.
Day-to-day you will:

Lead the response to major IT incidents, ensuring timely communication, triage, and resolution

Manage the end-to-end incident and service request process, coordinating with IT teams to restore services quickly

Oversee change management processes to ensure updates are planned, approved, and implemented with minimal disruption

Monitor, analyse, and improve incident response practices, including root cause analysis and prevention strategies

Keep stakeholders informed through clear, timely communication during incidents and changes

Drive continuous improvement across IT service delivery, processes, and user experience
To thrive in this role you will hold a Degree with major studies in computing or a relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience in the provision of hardware and software support services in a large organisation, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training as well as have:

Strong knowledge of IT Service Management practices and processes, including ITIL.

Previous experience working in a large IT environment within higher education or a similar organisation.

Experience working with IT systems and software, including ITSM/Service Desk applications, Windows, Mac and Linux environments.

An understanding of the centrality of clients in a service industry and an ability to meet and exceed individual client needs.

Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders and provide independent advice and resolution.

Salary: Total remuneration range $138,489 to $159,027 pa (includes salary range of $116,794 to $134,115 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
