Our business covers land acquisition, urban residential and commercial development, construction, cross-border real estate investment, integrated property sales and asset operations.

We operate across the full property value chain, including land acquisition, development and construction. We are expanding our Sydney team and welcome experienced industry professionals to apply.

Position Description

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will provide on-site civil engineering technical support for residential land subdivision and building construction projects. You will assist with civil engineering documentation, site inspections, construction material testing, technical data collection and quality verification to help ensure civil works comply with engineering specifications, relevant regulations and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site measurements, setting out, levelling and surveying activities for civil construction works; prepare accurate field records, sketches and technical documentation.

- Interpret civil engineering drawings, subdivision plans, construction specifications and engineering instructions, translating technical requirements into practical site applications.

- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor earthworks, drainage systems, roadworks, retaining structures and related infrastructure works for compliance with approved designs, specifications and regulatory requirements.

- Conduct and coordinate field testing of construction materials and soils; collect test data, record results and assist engineers in evaluating material quality and construction performance.

- Prepare technical reports, site records, drawings, charts, tabulations, material quantity calculations and progress documentation.

- Liaise with the project management team to track construction schedules and promptly flag delays or technical risks.

- Assist Civil Engineering Professionals with civil cost estimates, minor design adjustments and as-built drawing updates throughout project delivery.

- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, local council inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve on-site civil technical issues.

- Monitor construction compliance and site WHS requirements; identify potential hazards and report safety or non-compliance issues immediately.

Skills Required

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Management.

- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience as a Civil Engineering Technician on residential subdivision or building projects.

- English and Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.

- Strong on-site communication skills to supervise contractors and coordinate multi-stakeholder teams.

- Solid knowledge of construction engineering materials.

- High attention to detail, logical problem-solving ability and capacity to work full-time on active building sites.
