Bursaria Fine Foods is an award-winning boutique catering company specialising in exceptional weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. Based at the beautiful The Refectory at Werribee Park, our business continues to grow, and we're looking for an experienced, passionate Chef to join our expanding kitchen team.If you're ready to step beyond the pass and into a leadership role, this is an exciting opportunity. You'll work alongside an experienced team, with full training, mentoring and coaching to develop your management skills while remaining hands-on in the kitchen.

About the Role

As our Kitchen Production Manager, you will oversee food production across multiple weddings, functions and events while maintaining the high standards Bursaria is renowned for. This is a hands-on position suited to an organised, energetic chef who thrives in a fast-paced events environment.

About YouYou will have:

Trade qualification as a Chef.
Minimum two years' experience in a similar role within a catering company, events venue or high-volume kitchen.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to lead by example.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Exceptional standards of personal presentation, hygiene and professionalism.
A passion for fresh, seasonal produce and creative food presentation.
The ability to contribute ideas for new menus and presentation concepts aligned with the Bursaria brand.
A current Australian driver's licence.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain consistently high standards of food production and presentation.
Assist in leading daily kitchen operations and event preparation.
Monitor food costs and minimise wastage.
Ensure HACCP compliance and maintain accurate food safety records.
Maintain exceptional kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Assist with stock ordering and inventory control.
Prepare menus for weddings, events and catering using established recipes and systems.
Support and mentor junior kitchen team members.
