Assistant Pastry Chef (Part-Time)

Location: Forestville, Sydney NSW
Full-time: 5 Days Per Week

Bakealicious By Gabriela is an award-winning boutique cake shop specialising in premium handcrafted cakes, cupcakes and desserts. We pride ourselves on exceptional quality, beautiful presentation and outstanding customer service.

We're looking for a passionate and reliable Assistant Pastry Chef to join our friendly team and help support all areas of production.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a busy kitchen. You'll work alongside our talented team to ensure every product leaving our kitchen meets the high standards Bakealicious is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Baking sponge cakes and cupcakes
Preparing cake fillings, buttercreams, mousses and icings
Filling and crumb coating cakes
Decorating cakes and cupcakes to a high standard
Assisting with general kitchen preparation and production
Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe workspace
Supporting the team wherever needed during busy periods

About You

Previous experience in a bakery, cake shop or pastry kitchen
Confident baking cakes and cupcakes from scratch
Experience preparing fillings, buttercreams and icings
Able to crumb coat and decorate cakes neatly and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Reliable, organised and able to work well within a team
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help others
