We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Pastry Chef to join our Truganina production kitchen for morning shifts.
About the Role
This is a production-based role working in our central production kitchen with no customer service or restaurant service. You'll help produce cakes, desserts, pastry items and other signature dessert products supplied to our Dessert Corner locations.
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you'll focus on preparing high-quality products while maintaining consistency, efficiency and food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys production work, early morning shifts and wants to grow with a rapidly expanding business.
What You'll Be Doing
Egg-Free Bake & Create: Produce premium egg-free cakes, pastries, desserts, gelato components and other signature Dessert Corner products.
Savoury Prep: Prepare a variety of savoury items, including tarts, puffs and rolls.
Production Excellence: Weigh, mix, bake, assemble and finish products according to recipes and daily production schedules.
Quality & Consistency: Ensure every product meets our high standards for taste, presentation and consistency.
Kitchen Standards: Maintain a clean, organised production kitchen while following Food Safety and HACCP requirements.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Previous experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery or food production environment is highly regarded. Experience producing egg-free desserts is an advantage.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality, consistency and precision when following recipes and production procedures.
Early Riser: Available to work morning shifts in our production kitchen.
Reliable & Organised: Punctual, dependable and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive Attitude: Self-motivated, eager to learn and committed to producing high-quality products.
Passion for Pastry: A genuine passion for cakes, pastries and desserts, with a desire to grow your skills and career.
