About the role
As our new Payroll Operations Team Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in leading a high-performing payroll team to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for over 3,000 employees. You will oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, and legislative requirements, maintain strong governance and controls, and provide leadership and development to your team.
You’ll also drive continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems, provide accurate payroll information and insights to support effective decision-making and service delivery. From time to time, you may be required to undertake other duties aligned with your skills, capabilities, and classification level.
About you
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following key selection criteria within their application, as this forms part of our merit-based recruitment process:
Must have 5+ years’ experience successfully managing a payroll team directly, of at least 7 professionals or more
Deep experience and knowledge of Payroll processes, procedures and legislative/regulatory requirements
Demonstrated experience uplifting overall Payroll team capability and output
Proven experience building meaningful relationships and leveraging them to drive innovation and process improvements
Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with a stakeholder of various levels of seniority, both internally and externally
Proven track record of leading, coaching and developing high-performing payroll teams whilst fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
Established experience with ADP systems, or similar (highly desirable)
Salary for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate’s aligned skills and experience to the position.
