EY Parthenon – Manager – Transaction Diligence

As our Manager in Transaction Diligence, you’ll lead core workstreams and day-to-day delivery across complex buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements. Working with private equity and corporate clients across sectors such as retail, consumer products, manufacturing and broader industrial markets, you’ll shape analysis, challenge findings and translate financial information into commercially focused advice that supports investment and divestment decisions.
This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead buy-side and sell-side Financial Due Diligence engagements
- Analyse financial performance (QoE, working capital, cash flow) to support investment decisions and deal structuring
- Deliver client-ready outputs while managing stakeholder relationships and supporting junior team development
Skills and attributes for success
- 2+ years' experience operating at Manager level within a Financial Due Diligence (FDD) team.
- Experience gained within a Big 4 or second-tier consulting firm, leading buy-side and sell-side transaction engagements.
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, reviewing team outputs and delivering high-quality due diligence reports to private equity and corporate clients.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, commerce, economics or a related discipline.
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or international equivalent
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working with private equity and corporate clients across sectors such as retail, consumer products, manufacturing and broader industrial markets.
- Strong commercial judgement, curiosity and the ability to turn financial analysis into practical transaction insights.
