Experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner

Perth Metro or South West WA | Hybrid
Full-time, part-time or casual arrangements considered
$105,000 to $130,000 plus super and salary packaging

Microboards Australia is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with at least Proficient PBS capability who wants to support people to live good, meaningful lives.

We are a family-led and lived experience-led organisation. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-based and grounded in human rights, belonging and self-determination. We work alongside people, families and support networks to strengthen safety, connection, communication and participation.

About the role

You will work collaboratively with people, families, supporters, providers and allied health professionals to build shared understanding and sustainable support.

Your responsibilities will include:

developing behaviour support assessments, plans and reports that promote quality of life
identifying safeguards that uphold rights, dignity, wellbeing and participation
supporting families, support workers and providers through coaching, mentoring and collaborative problem-solving
contributing to training, resource development, projects and practice innovation
supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices

What you will bring

registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
at least Proficient PBS capability, with Advanced capability highly regarded
a genuine commitment to person-led, neurodiversity-affirming and rights-based practice
strong written communication skills
confidence working independently, with support from a collaborative team
a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
a current Working with Children Check, where required
a current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
the right to work in Australia

Additional experience in training, mentoring, AAC, research, resource development, advocacy, community development or practice leadership will be valued.
