Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner – Telehealth and/or Community ($100 - $150 per hour, dependent on experience)

About the role (where your magic comes in)

We’re looking for experienced, NDIS-registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners who bring both clinical excellence and genuine heart.

These are hybrid roles - combine telehealth from your home (or private professional space) with community-based, face-to-face support where needed.

You’ll work with a diverse and meaningful caseload, including:

Neurodivergent clients (autism, ADHD)
Psychosocial disabilities
Intellectual and physical disabilities
Participants across the lifespan

We receive referrals for assessments, reports, and ongoing PBS intervention, and we take the time to match you with clients aligned to your experience, interests and preferred demographics.

Previous experience has shown us that participants who have one therapist for an assessment and another for ongoing therapy leads to a negative therapy journey experience and lack of continuity of care therefore at this stage we can only offer roles to those willing to provide assessments + ongoing therapy to our clients.

You’ll never feel like you’re working alone - ongoing client support and a collaborative clinician community are part of the deal.

About you (aka our kind of human)

You’re confident, compassionate, and clinically sharp. You value autonomy but love being part of something bigger.

You’ll bring:

Ideally, you have at least 3 years of professional post-graduate experience
A tertiary qualification in a relevant health or allied health discipline, such as Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology
Postgraduate or specialist training in behaviour analysis or Positive Behaviour Support (eg: Graduate Diploma/Master in Applied Behaviour Analysis, NDIS-endorsed PBS courses)
Professional registration where applicable (ie: AHPRA registration is required if your primary qualification falls under a regulated profession, eg: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology)
Proficient registration in NDIS Commission to perform PBS work
Experience working with NDIS participants / people with a disability
Experience providing online therapy / telehealth / telepractice

And, as an Independent Contractor with CARED, you’ll need:

Capacity to provide assessments & ongoing therapy. This is not an assessment only role
A private, professional workspace with reliable internet, camera & mic
Australian Business Number - ABN
Appropriate business insurances (Professional Indemnity – PI, and Public liability - PL)

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried or full-time employment position.

Our role is to connect practitioners with clients and participants who require allied health services. We provide referrals that can help you grow and supplement your existing private practice, rather than guaranteeing a fixed caseload or income.

This opportunity is best suited to practitioners seeking flexible work that complements an existing private practice, business, or employment arrangement, while maintaining full control over their schedule, workload, and service delivery.
