Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed major referral hospital for Central Queensland, providing specialist care to patients from across the region and supporting rural facilities including Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon and Biloela. About the role:
Lead Rockhampton Hospital's volunteer service, coordinating the day-to-day operations, rostering, supervision, support and placement of volunteers across clinical and support areas.
Recruit, onboard and train volunteers, ensuring they are appropriately matched to roles and meet all mandatory Queensland Health requirements.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify new opportunities for volunteers and develop programs that respond to the needs of patients, staff and the hospital.
Drive the growth and development of volunteering across CQHHS, providing advice to clinical and executive teams, supporting Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care services, and identifying opportunities to improve and expand the volunteer experience.
About you:
Exceptional people skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally and diplomatically with patients, staff and volunteers.
Confident leadership experience, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, supervision and supporting others to succeed.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the initiative to work independently, juggle competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and advocate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, the wider organisation and external partners.
Quality-focused and proactive, with the ability to independently plan, implement and evaluate service improvements that strengthen volunteer services and outcomes.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $6,893 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $47.41 - $52.23 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
