About the Team

Our People & Culture Advisory team partners exclusively with leaders across Sigma Healthcare’s extensive retail pharmacy network. The team provides practical, business-focused advice across employee relations, performance, conduct and broader people matters, helping retail leaders make fair, consistent and well-informed decisions.

Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the team is focused on building leadership capability, improving employee outcomes, and supporting the continued growth of our store network.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture – Advisory, the Senior People & Culture Advisor will partner with retail leaders across our NSW and ACT store network.

You will provide practical, hands-on advice and coaching across a broad range of people matters, with a strong focus on performance, conduct, grievances, workplace investigations and employee relations. You will also lead and develop a People & Culture Advisor, making this an excellent opportunity to further build your leadership capability.

This is a full-time role based at our Preston Support Office (1-day work from home), with occasional travel to NSW and ACT.

Role Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with leaders across your portfolio, including State and Territory Managers
Lead and develop a direct report, building their capability and supporting their performance
Provide clear, practical advice on people and employment matters
Coach leaders to confidently manage performance, conduct and employee relations matters
Support grievance matters and workplace investigations, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
Interpret and provide advice on employment legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company policies
Prepare employee correspondence and supporting documentation
Identify trends and themes and work proactively with leaders to improve people outcomes
Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date records
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of People & Culture processes and ways of working

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an experienced People & Culture professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and delivers practical, business-focused outcomes.

You will bring strong employee relations capability, sound judgement and the ability to coach and influence leaders to confidently manage complex people matters.

You will also possess:

Experience as a People & Culture Advisor or Business Partner, with strong employee relations capability
Experience working in a multi-site or high-volume environment, ideally within retail
A proven ability to coach, influence and build trusted relationships with leaders
Experience leading or mentoring others, or the readiness to step into a formal leadership role
The ability to balance reactive case management with proactive and strategic thinking
Sound knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
Strong communication, judgement, organisation and prioritisation skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach and an understanding of operational environments
