Employment Type – Full time or Part time (4 days per week)

About The Role
We are looking for Youth Lead Practitioners to support adolescents and young adults aged 9-25 as they navigate life with a disability, from adolescence through to early adulthood.

As a Youth Lead Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:

Led the interdisciplinary youth team that plans a young person’s NDIS funded therapy package, acting as the main contact for adolescent and young adult participants and their families
Utilised assessment and intervention skills to support youth participants to achieve their educational, personal, social, and working life goals
Worked within the social model which means you’ll have worked and delivered therapy in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces and community centres
Held meaningful, future-focused conversations with participants and their supports
Empowered participants and their families to develop habits and routines
Built meaningful relationships with your participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
Documented, and billed for, each session through our online participant management system
Attended the weekly team meeting in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
You’ll have met with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and/or support

Who We Are Looking For

To work as a Youth Lead Practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.

If you are a Youth Worker, you will have a Bachelor of Master’s degree in Youth Work and YWA membership
If you are a Social Worker, you will have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Social Work and AASW membership

You will also need:

Minimum 2 years experience working with youth aged 9-25
A positive and flexible approach to work
Strong communication skills and be a team player
Commitment to personal and professional growth
Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability
Willingness to work to billable targets
A valid Australian driver’s license
NDIS Workers Screening Check
Working with Children’s Check
