Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Fitter (x2 positions available)

What’s the opportunity?

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you’ll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.

The roster is 7days on / 7 days off (Dayshift only)

You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile equipment across Northparkes’ underground and surface operations.

Key responsibilities:

Assisting with servicing and repairing engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
Diagnose faults and repair mobile plant air conditioning systems
Learning to diagnose faults in mobile mining equipment
Supporting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values
