About the Role:
Join SA Health's Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) as an Executive Assistant and Project Support specialist, focusing on Corporate Governance and Communications. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to South Australia's largest healthcare system while supporting executive leadership in delivering quality patient care across northern Adelaide communities. This position has key connection to the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OCEO), NALHN Governing Board, Media and Communications team, and the NALHN Consumer and Community Advisor.
Based in Adelaide's northern metro region, you will work within NALHN, supporting critical governance functions and communications initiatives that directly impact healthcare delivery for over 380,000 South Australians.
What You'll Do
Directly support the Executive Director, Corporate Governance and Communications
Provide comprehensive executive support to senior leadership teams
Work closely with the OCEO
Coordinate corporate governance activities and assist with board meeting preparations
Manage communications projects and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Support strategic planning processes and organisational reporting
Maintain confidential records and coordinate complex scheduling requirements
About You:
In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role. You will be based at Lyell McEwin Hospital however, flexibility to work from other sites is essential.
You will be joining a dynamic and expanding Local Health Network that is committed to delivering contemporary, innovative and high‑quality health services within modern facilities.

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services – adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services – provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services – including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
