Band 6 - Salary Range $97,926 to $106,637 per annum + 12% Super + ADO

The Opportunity
Melton City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Traffic and Transport Engineers to join the Roads and Traffic team.
Reporting to the Traffic and Transport Coordinator you will investigate traffic issues, deliver outstanding customer service, and meaningful outcomes for the community. You will be primarily responsible for reviewing traffic management plans, investigating customer enquiries, and conducting traffic and transport investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond positively and punctually within specified timelines to customer enquiries and requests and adhere to the performance standards adopted in the Customer Service Charter.
- Undertake and assist engineering staff with traffic management issues that may include investigations, reports, correspondence and support in all areas including traffic related issues, parking, pedestrian movement, DDA compliance, traffic counts, street lighting etc.
- Review and provide comment on Traffic Management Plans that are submitted to the department for approval.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, which would qualify the applicant for membership of the Institute of Engineers of Australia.
- Relevant experience in Traffic Engineering.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Road Management Act, Local Government Act, and OH&S Act.
- Demonstrated experience in various computer packages including MS Office and CAD software.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
