Full Job Description

Meerkat Creative is a Brisbane-based content and marketing agency delivering video, photography, copywriting, social media and design services as a marketing team for small and medium businesses. This role is responsible for planning, producing and publishing marketing content for clients and the company, grounded in an understanding of each client’s brand, market and business goals.

● Plan, create and publish marketing content (video, photography, copy and social media assets) for client campaigns, ensuring alignment with each client’s brand strategy and target audience

● Develop and manage content calendars, scheduling and publishing content across clients’ social media and digital platforms

● Translate client marketing objectives, market positioning and competitive landscape into content concepts, storytelling and campaign creative

● Coordinate photo and video shoots, working with clients, photographers and production partners from concept through delivery

● Write and edit marketing copy, product narratives and promotional materials for use across web, social and print

● Monitor content and campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and client outcomes

● Collaborate with designers, videographers and the wider Meerkat Creative team to deliver cohesive, on-brand marketing assets across multiple client accounts

● Build an understanding of each client’s industry, product range and competitors to shape content strategy that supports their business goals

● Support content and marketing projects involving international clients, products and events entering the Australian market, adapting content and messaging for Australian audiences

● Contribute to campaigns and content intended for international audiences and overseas markets, taking account of market, audience and cultural differences when developing messaging and creative concepts

● Identify and test emerging content formats, AI-assisted tools and new production approaches to support the development of innovative content and marketing services

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience combining hands-on content creation (social media content, photo/video shoot coordination, copywriting) with broader marketing experience — brand positioning, market research, campaign planning and cross-functional coordination with designers and production teams. Experience working across multiple brands, product categories or clients is highly regarded.

Skills:

● Strong understanding of marketing strategy and brand positioning, beyond content execution alone

● Content creation across formats: social media content, video/photo shoot coordination, copywriting

● Experience managing content calendars and multi-platform publishing (Instagram, Facebook, website)

● Ability to translate a client’s business goals and market position into content strategy

● Strong written and verbal communication, with confident client-facing skills preferably in multiple languages

● Demonstrated experience developing and adapting marketing content and campaigns for international clients, markets and culturally diverse audiences

● Experience coordinating with designers, photographers/videographers and production teams

● Highly organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple client projects simultaneously

PERFORMANCE GOALS

● Deliver client content on schedule and in line with each client’s brand guidelines

● Grow client engagement and content performance metrics over time

● Build and maintain informed, professional client relationships, understanding each client’s industry and product

● Bring marketing strategy insight to content work that adds value beyond execution alone

● Contribute to the development of content and campaigns for international clients and markets, adapting messaging to different audiences and commercial contexts

● Identify and apply emerging content trends, technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve content quality, efficiency and develop new creative approaches

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
